Perform intraoral scanning or impression-taking (digital or physical model).
Access the Professional Portal
Log in to our Professional Portal and create a new retainer or mouthguard case in 2 simple steps.
Complete the information
You will need to upload the patient's information, select the type of retainer or mouthguard, upload images, and add, if necessary, case observations.
Submit the case
Once the necessary information is completed, submit the case and monitor its status at all times from the Professional Portal overview.
Production and shipping
At Avinent, we will produce the retainer or mouthguard in less than 72 hours.
Once the above information is collected, you can create a retainer or discharge splint case through our professional portal.
During the case entry process, you’ll need to upload the STL files (in the case of intraoral scanning) or download the shipping label to send us the impression trays, upload all patient images and/or X-rays, and complete the form with questions about the current case conditions and treatment instructions.
Our technicians will analyze the case, and once accepted, the requested retainer or discharge splint will be produced and sent to the clinic as soon as possible.

When creating your clinical case of retainers you will have two materials available:
– Transformed retainer (Zendura FLX)
– Retainer milled for durability (BioSplint FLEX)
And when creating your case of discharge splints you will have the following materials available:
– Maximum stiffness special Bruxism (BioSplintP)
– Medium stiffness special allergens (BioSplint FLEX)
The Zendura FLX converted retainer has a thermoformed three-layer PETG material, equivalent to that of the aligners. It offers a perfect, minimally invasive fit. It is recommended for use up to 6 months and is ideal for containment until a new evaluation, being compatible with fixed metal retainers.
While the BioSplint FLEX milled retainer for greater durability has a milled PETG material that offers high flexibility and resistance to impact. It is recommended for night use and for a single arch, offering greater durability.
As for the BioSplintP Discharge Splints are made of a biocompatible and thermoplastic material, with high resistance to fracture and long-term stability. That is why it is recommended for people with Bruxism to reduce the risk of inflammation.
BioSplint FLEX splints are of medium stiffness and special for allergens. The material is a thermoplastic copolymer with high flexibility and high impact resistance. In addition, it is free of toxic and allergenic substances and is not recommended for patients with bruxism.
Yes, when making a case you can indicate if you want a Michigan splint (smooth and without guides), a splint with canine guide or a splint with canine and incisor guide, once you have selected the type of splint, you can select the splint material that best suits your patient’s situation.
When the doctor sends the case through the pro.recodealigners.com, platform, it is sent directly to Avinent’s in-house team, specialized in designing orthodontic cases.
